Wedding FAQs

Here are the answers to some of the questions we are most often asked. Should you need to discuss something that we have not covered here or if you feel you would like some more information, please contact us. We will be only too happy to help.

Q. Do you film using digital cameras?

Yes, we use the latest Sony and Panasonic digital cameras. These are the same cameras that are widely used by many of the major broadcast companies around the world and they film in full broadcast quality:1920 x 1080 HD.

Q. How many cameras do you use?

This really depends on the type of filming we are asked to do. For all types of stage production or “live” event we would always recommend using at least TWO cameras.

Q. Which areas do you cover?

Most of our work is within a 45 mile radius of Glasgow, although for a small additional cost we can and do travel anywhere. If you require filming overseas, this too has been done before and can easily be arranged for you.

Q. How can I pay and when is the payment required?

Currently all payment is by Cash or Cheque. At the time of booking a Wedding, there is a NON REFUNDABLE booking fee of £100.00 required. You can then decide whether you want to pay the balance in full the week before the wedding or split it into two equal payments and pay the first half of it the week before the wedding. If you decide to do this, the remaining half will require to be paid before we start the editing process.
We would request that if you wish to pay by cheque, you send your cheque to us at that time and we will deliver your job to you when your cheque clears.
NB: For all Dance & Theatre Productions please see our Dance & Theatre page for all payment details

Q. When do we get the finished DVD or Bluray Disc back?

The turnaround time can vary from about 3 weeks – 8 weeks, depending on the time of year and the volume of work. We are normally able to give you a more accurate turnaround time closer to the day.

Q. Is it possible to change my chosen package and additional options?

Yes you can, but as this may require some re-organising on our side we would need conformation of any changes no later than three weeks before the date of filming.

Q. How many other weddings will you do on my day?

None, that day belongs to you only.

Q. Can I have additional music on my DVD or Bluray Disc?

Yes. We put music on our productions at suitable places so as to enhance the overall viewing qualities of the finished job.

Q. Who chooses the music?

It’s up to you. If you wish to select the tracks yourself, then you can. Should you wish to supply it to us we would ask for it on either CD format or emailed as MP3 files. We would look for around 10-12 tracks to allow us to select what fits best with your footage.  MP3’s can be sent to us for FREE using www.wetransfer.com a save and free file sharing web based software. Or if you prefer, we can select the music for you, from our extensive music database. We have hundreds of music tracks for all occasions.
NB: If we deem any music unsuitable for inclusion, we reserve the right not to use it.

Q. Will your supplied disc function properly in my player?

We use DVD-R discs, the most compatible recordable DVD format available. Not all players and drives can read recorded disks. The basic issue is that recordable discs have different reflectivity than the pressed discs (the pre-recorded kind you buy in a shop), and not all DVD players have been correctly designed to read them. There are compatibility lists on most manufacturer web sites. Most players made from 2001 onwards should be ok.

Q. What if my DVD player will not play the DVD I received from you?

If your DVD player has any “incompatibility” issues with the DVD-R’s that we produce, we will gladly exchange them for DVD+R. This should solve your problems.

Q. My wedding is on TAPE can I have it transferred to DVD format?

Yes you can, we have been professionally authoring onto DVD for some time, we can transfer and any footage to DVD. Including, VHS, Hi8 and Betamax.

Q. Can I see a sample of some of your previous work?

Yes certainly. We are only too pleased to arrange for you to come to the studio and view some footage, or if you prefer, we will come to you and show the footage to you in the comfort of your own home. The choice is yours. We regularly visit customers to show footage. If for any reason these options are not possible, we would send you a disc in the post to evaluate but meeting up is the preferred option as you can view all you wish and ask all your questions at the same time and have them answered on the spot. This is a totally free service and you are under no obligation at any time.
